WRESACARE is a community managed, not-for-profit organisation that has been providing a range of support a range of support and programs for people with special needs and their carers since 1980.

All WRESACARE clients are encouraged to be involved in decisions affecting their lives.

WRESACARE currently work with the following clients that have special needs including:

Intellectual disabilities
Development delayed
Physical Disabilities
Attention Deficit Disorder/ADHD
Sensory Disabilities
Psychiatric disabilities
Challenging behaviours
Aged care
Medical conditions
Acquired brain injury
Severe injuries
Palliative care

 

Each person/family that use a WRESACARE service is provided with:

Choice of staff.

Staff are selected and matched to meet the individual needs and interests of each client. This includes the cultural and linguistic needs of the individual.

A constant service.

Each client has a "key" worker plus a backup worker. The two worker system ensures reliability and continuity of service.

24 hours / 7 days a week.

Each client is provided with on call support available every day of the year.

 

WRESACARE is an approved provider of Attendant Care Services to the
Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and Work Cover.
WRESACARE is also an approved Respite Care Provider to the Department of Human Services.

 

Services Available:

In Home Respite Care

( WRESACARE Home Individual Support Program - WHISP )
WRESACARE provides a range of flexible and responsive respite alternatives.

Services are available to carers of children, young people, adults, older people and frail aged who have a disability and require assistance in maintaining their caring role. Services also include overnight care and crisis response.

Attendant Care Programs

WRESACARE provides support based on the particular needs and rehabilitation goals of the individual. An individually tailored program may include; Personal Care, Living Skills, Behaviour Modelling, and Community Access.

Community Access

WRESACARE programs aim to maximise the individuals opportunity to participate in community activities and include a range of community living skills and recreational activities.

WRESACARE Staff

WRESACARE employ over 100 staff that have been chosen for their abilities and individual skills. To ensure a quality service, all staff are thoroughly screened, police checked, and provided with ongoing training. WRESACARE can provide specialised, trained staff with notice when required.

WRESACARE can provide services throughout the Kingston, Greater Dandenong, Casey, Cardinia, Frankston and Mornington Peninsula areas.
