Children's Respite House

The Children's respite House provides residential respite care to children betwenn the ages of 6 to 17 years with special needs. The aim of the servoce is to provide respite to the child/young person whilst the carer has a break. This service is provided by WRESACARE and funded by the Victorian State Government.

The emphasis of the service is placed on the young person receiving a positive experience whilst at the House. Special activities and/or excursions are a feature of each weekend or school holiday period.

The Children's Respite House is open on weekends, (Friday afternoon through to Monday morning), public holidays and school holidays.

The service is available to children between the ages of 6 to 17 years who have a disability. The disability may be intellectual, sensory, physical or an acquired brain injury. The client must live at home with a parent or voluntary carer.
